Sunflowers are one of the most beautiful crops in the world. It's just amazing to see them turn toward the sun when they need it and then turn away when they've gotten their daily dose. This painting was done primarily with palette knife and has many layers of rich texture. You feel like you can walk right out into the field.

I have been an artist since I was a little girl growing up in central North Dakota. My artistic pursuits of drawing, painting, writing, and singing have brought me great joy throughout my life.
