Artist's Description

My grandmother's favorite spring flower was the crocus. It is the first flower of spring in the Upper Midwest and usually grows wild on the hillsides. She used to love to go searching for them in the spring and would always be so happy when she found them. It truly meant that winter was over and a beautiful spring was on its way. This original painting is richly textured and also has a high-gloss finish on it, giving it a unique shimmery look.
