Spring has sprung and burst forth on my easel!
Crocus or pasque flowers always make me think of my Grandma Elsa. She loved them and talked about how she would go look for them in the pasture on her farm when she was a young girl.
This painting attempts to capture my feelings about spring: sunny yellow mornings, tender greens of new leaves, bright reflections on a new day. The lovely feeling of spirits renewed as we look forward to the warmth and beauty of summer.
What does this bring to mind for you?
I have been an artist since I was a little girl growing up in central North Dakota. My artistic pursuits of drawing, painting, writing, and singing have brought me great joy throughout my life. Hours fly by when you can lose yourself in doing something you love! I channeled my interest in writing and visual arts into a fairly successful career as a public relations professional and rose through the ranks in communications and marketing departments in energy, healthcare and higher education. My spare time was spent honing my skills as a painter and singer.
