The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Artist's Description
This painting combines my love of the performing arts with my love of my home state. Inspired by a photo of the North Dakota Badlands landscape taken by my friend Mike Bruner, the element of the ballerina sprang from my imagination. Wild and Free was born!
Don't you just love how the color of the sky complements the color of her tutu? And how among the rugged terrain, she found a place to strike a perfect on pointe pose?
The combination of the ruggedness of the terrain with the unexpected sighting of a beautiful ballerina makes for a delicious contrast.

I have been an artist since I was a little girl growing up in central North Dakota. My artistic pursuits of drawing, painting, writing, and singing have brought me great joy throughout my life. Hours fly by when you can lose yourself in doing something you love! I channeled my interest in writing and visual arts into a fairly successful career as a public relations professional and rose through the ranks in communications and marketing departments in energy, healthcare and higher education.
